Sunny Saturday March 16th: my day was full of surprises ! I've received some gorgeous peonies, came to the store a bunch of new faces and I was surrounded by great inspirations and creative productivity. ( my kind of perfect "work" day? : )
I've been able to finish the second part of my interview with Sandrine, Sandrine de Paris. ( I rarely talk shop in french in the US unless over the phone with friends and family ) Sandrine is writing an article about "spaces"...I realized I've got so used in describing the store and how I embark into this beautiful journey..most of the time in English !
The fun part anyway is that we could switch from a language to another because Sandrine is French and perfectly fluent in english too.
Creation-wise, I made a huge progress on my next jewelry collection titled "Beads and Threads ". It's a limited collection of about 20 delicate and simple, super fresh and refreshing pieces for Spring ! I've been wearing mine since I made it on Thursday and can't get enough of it ! I gave myself a single rule-making to respect : no chains involved. Yes, not this time ! I brought back amazing beads from Cotonou and found the cutest cotton treads to pair them with in San Francisco. I'm making them in the perspective of layering them and wearing them as necklaces or as a multi wrist wrap bracelets. I wanted to create a color shock between the threads and the beads. It makes me look at the whole collection like playful little "gri-gri"...I'm not sure what would be the perfect word for gri-gri, but I'll say something like a lucky charm...Just like in my teenage years when I used to wear a thread around my wrist knotted with a wish and letting it worn out till it breaks by itself meaning it was time for the wish to come true...
Tomorrow is St Patricks Day ! If there is one day when I can wear a total green on green on green outfit and feel just totally normal, it might be tomorrow ...
Happy St Patrick's Day!
