Best of the Bay

Everything is going fast at the moment and yesterday I received a very exciting news, the kind that stops time for a while : I've been selected by the San Francisco Bay Guardian as Best Dreamy Dressmaker of the Bay 2013.

I'm a very happy winner ! Honored and thankful to have been selected by the SFBG editors, in such an incredible shopping environment. Merci SFBG !

I could not believe my ears (first heard the news from a neighbor who came in and congratulate me ;) Then could not believe my eyes reading this here : http://www.sfbg.com/specials/best-bay-2013-editors-picks-shopping

Finally, went hunting for the newspaper itself and found on page 71 an article and even a picture! I'm so happy. Something is telling me this paper will travel far, all the way to France and Benin !

I'm also grateful to my growing team of seamstresses Olga and Vivian with who I'm making this happens: we are taking more orders everday making more people "dressed happy" in timeless handmade tailored pieces. As well, I'm taking this occasion to thank all my made to order clients.Your measurements are safe with me. 

Remember this : "my rack will rock SF." ?

This encourages me to continue making beautiful dreammy dresses and more more amazing fine little things that will be ready in your closet. I want dressing up to become an easy game again, so you can effortlessly look good and feel good. Everyday. Any occasion.

There is an exciting party coming up to celebrate with the SFBG team and all the Best of the Bay ! I just can't wait !

Alien wearing dots

I write my ideas and spontanious sketches on little "book notes" covered with wax, designed in Cotonou, Benin, west Africa. Another reason to keep them all after they are used, they are super pretty and eco chic and I can dig back into my ideas once in a while. I still enjoy the simplicity of handwriting. They are handmade with left over fabrics from taylors in Cotonou, so there is never left behind fabrics. I can even imagine matching my notebook with my scarf and that's an idea for everyone! Get yours at the store!

Dinner Party

Hey, If you really want to know what I'm doing after hours, just imagine me giving huge dinner parties at my house: a bit like an old school kind of celebration, teenage spirit vibe for grown ups only. 

My guests and I all agree on one moto: "work hard-play hard" ! 

My next in house dinner is coming up and I'm working on the Menu. Of course, homemade.
