June 2010 ❤ June 2013 ! 3 years and counting...
I still remember the day that plane landed in SF from Sao Paolo, 4 years ago. I literally came in the city like a tourist, with a backpack full of travelling memories, a couple of (no more useful) bikinis, my Havaianas and my broken English with a french accent : that was February 3rd 2009. I soon switched the bikinis for some thick sweaters and my Havaianas for tall leather boots.
About a year after, finally living the SF life as a "local", I met my store. It was the cutest location I ever found... Time flies and I thank God for great things that happened at 101 Pierce Street. It's truly my pleasure to celebrate 3 years at the store: it's huge ! This is magic, this is all I wanted ! It's more than happiness.
Owning a business comes with a certain amount of difficulties <kind of "everestic"> I still have mountains to climb but I'm doing the best I can to enjoy the ascension, embracing all challenges it takes to overpassed, on the way to success. A bit like in a relationship, you need love and devotion. Now that 3 years have passed, I can see new beginning(s) comming around my corner ! June 2013 don't you think June 2010 sounds just like... yesterday ?? Anyhow...Happy 3 years anniversary dear Aline's Closet ! And wishing for many more years to count.
I also want to thank all my clients, neighbors, friends and family for their amazing constant support. Without you, this dream has no reality. Here is to many more years of....Fun ! Because let's face it, at the end of the day what matters is loving what you do so you can have fun doing what you love ! The store completes me and makes me so happy !
It's maybe time to write a book...A "small" book of achievement, about a "little" girl and a "tiny" shop!
