Aline's Closet at the Lower Haight Urban Air Market !

This Saturday October 20th from 11am to 7pm I will participate in one of the largest outdoor design show in the country ! The Urban Air Market is a curated outdoor market place where artists and designers are selected for their quality, originality, cleverness, and method of sustainability in design. I love it that it promotes a new ( I should say the old) way to shop: right from the maker's hands, so you can see the artists and designers behind each pieces.

It's going to be a great fun event, a bit like in the form of a fashion festival/ block party ! Haight Street from Webster to Pierce will be closed to auto-traffic... Instead ? Foot traffic and street lined with booths featuring 200+ independent designers selling clothing, accessories, jewelry, and home decor !
I'm sooo excited to be one them! First as a fashion and jewelry designer and most importantly as a merchant of the Lower Haight ! I'll be wearing my three hats! :)

Also to start, I'll be sketching faces + silhouettes and making jewelry live right at my booth...with more than a 1000 people expected to attend this event, keeping myself focus on "creating something" is probably the only way I've found to keep my stage fright away in public ! Then, after few sketches and a couple of necklaces designed, creation will only attract fun !
